Hanging at the Rex

We're here! Mom and I met up with Bill & Kim (another couple adopting from Vinh Long) at the airport in Seoul and quickly became attached at the hip. We sat near each other on the plane, and made it through our passport screenings, luggage gathering, and customs together. Then we took the bull by the horn and left the airport. It was a little nervewracking because of the lines of people waiting outside, but we walked out and saw the Dillon sign right away - Thomas and Minh were there to greet us. We loaded into a bus and they drove us to the Rex, which is GORGEOUS! The traffic scared all of us a bit. Those scooters are fearless!

Thomas and Minh got us all checked in and then left us until Sunday morning. We have a free day tomorrow so we're meeting for breakfast and then we're off to explore! (That statement right there will scare the heck out of my poor dad!)

Our room is fabulous, the internet was super-easy to connect to, and Skype is working great. We did have to ask the very nice man who brought our luggage to our room to explain how to turn the lights on. After he showed us how to insert our key, I vaguely remembered that Tim & Rachel had the same problem :)

More tomorrow after our next adventure!

Yay! You made it! Can't wait to hear more. I think most of us had problems with lights and electricity. For those who are wondering what we are talking about, you have to leave the bulky thing on the key chain inserted into this other thing mounted next to the inside of the door. Of, if your key is a card, you have to insert your card. Or, you can trick it by sticking a folded brochure in there.

Awesome! I'm so happy to hear that you finally made it! Take a walk to the Diamond Center for some pizza and don't miss the amazing breakfast buffet at the Rex. Hands down, the nest fruits I've ever eaten in my life. You MUST try the tiny bananas and the dragon fruit.
