Whoo hoo... August 1st! Only 13 days til my birthday... plenty of time for those of you who haven't had a chance to shop yet :)
We've been busy busy busy. We're house hunting again. We've found a beautiful new development that we love and went through four houses on Sunday. One was just too small and we took it off the list. Another was rather spendy, so we took it off the list. The third was great upstairs and down... but the stairs to the basement were in a wonky place so we took it off the list. And the fourth is still in construction so it was hard to visualize. It is still on the list. Chris was explaining all of this to his podiatry practice partner and Ryan, brillliant man that he is, said, "You can knock down walls." Hmmmmmm... So house #3 is back on the list. We're going up tonight to see if we can open up the weird stairway area with a strategically-placed swing of a big ol' sledgehammer :)
On the adoption front, we got a package from the agency in the mail on Saturday. I was so excited because I thought it contained the information about the homestudy. Nope, it was App Part 2 - AGAIN - for Vietnam instead of Korea. After hyperventilating for a bit, I went through the packet and only found a couple of things that were different. On Monday, I called the agency and they agreed to go ahead and start the homestudy process. We should hear from the social worker this week, and then we can get our meetings scheduled. We're still on track!
